This June, the Special Occasions team came in swinging as production partners with Meijer LPGA Classic at Blythefield Country Club for a second year. This year was the tenth anniversary of the tournament, celebrating a decade of women's golf and nearly $10,000,000 raised towards the Meijer Simply Give Program. As production partners, it was our job to make sure event spaces were picture-perfect for all attendees, golfers, and sponsors. Coming back for a second year, our team was prepared and excited to make the event better than ever before.
Sponsor tents for companies such as PepsiCo and KraftHeinz were set to perfection for VIP viewers to enjoy. The main tent, J. Brewers, was a massive structure with a bar, restaurants, and lounging and viewing areas, all of which was set and maintained by our team. Every detail of each element was brought on site specifically for this event. Our Crossley Collection of high-tops and bar stools debuted in the J. Brewers tent, alongside our new Ellsworth communal table. The Ellsworth tables were hand built for this event, and are a perfect rustic alternative for cocktail tables. Any rental item that was not our own was orchestrated and sub-rented from various rental companies throughout the state of Michigan. Our role as production partners was to organize these outside vendors, set the items, and utilize their products and services to bring the tournament to new heights. After all was said and done, our team organized, set, and tore town 677 tables and 2,264 chairs at various locations around the 18-hole course, creating magic at Blythefield Country Club.
Meijer LPGA hosts various celebrations for their staff, players, and sponsors, all of which we executed and cleared in time for the next. The main luncheon for Meijer's staff on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was designed around our newest custom linen, Dusty Blue Verona. Alternating tables wore Cobalt Panama with dusty blue verona napkins at each place setting. Wooden Acacia chargers graced Verona tables, while White Resin Scalloped chargers were placed at panama and farm tables. Each table was surrounded by cross-back farm chairs, tying together the look.
As it's known, we love designing beautiful tablescapes, and sponsor dinners were no different! We had so much fun playing around with each sponsors' brand colors to curate the perfect settings for celebration.
The tables for Kimberly-Clark were dressed in snow expo with wooden acacia chargers, storm matte satin napkins, cross-back farm chairs, with navy velvet on cocktail tables.
PepsiCo tables featured valentine iridescent crush with royal blue satin napkins, silver rimmed glass chargers, silver chiavari chairs, and royal blue matte satin high-tops.
For Conagra, the tables wore avocado matte satin with silver rimmed glass chargers, dark teal crepe satin napkins, black chiavari chairs and navy pleasure cocktails.
General Mills' tables wore royal blue riviera accessorized with ruby matte satin napkins, silver rimmed glass chargers, silver chiavari chairs and silver riviera on cocktail tables.
The tables for P&G were decked out in royal blue iridescent crush linens with white panama napkins, light silver beaded napkin rings, champagne stella glass chargers, black chiavari chairs and snow expo high-top tables.
Keurig Dr Pepper's dinner consisted of tables dressed in mink velvet accessorized with fuchsia peacock chargers, cross-back farm chairs, light cafe mocha napkins, and avocado matte satin cocktail tables.
Finally, KraftHeinz's branded tables wore navy crinkle taffeta with red satin napkins, gold rimmed glass chargers atop gold dahlia placemats, set with gold chiavari chairs and red contempo matte satin cocktails.
Returning for a second year, working as production partners for the Meijer LPGA tournament was even more electric than the year prior. Our team expertly executed all the necessary elements to make an event of such magnitude a success; we are so grateful for our outstanding team members, who endured long work days on the course. Working on events of this caliber is an exhilarating experience, and we look forward to doing it again next year!
